With Sigur Rós, the Breeders, Go! Team, Mars Volta, Grinderman, Tindersticks

The lineup has been announced for the third annual
Latitude Festival, which will fill up Suffolk, England's Henham Park Estate over the long weekend of July 17-20. The run of musical acts doesn't make for a terribly lengthy list (unlike most festivals), but it's long on talent, with M.I.A., Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, Grinderman, the Breeders, Sigur Rós, Death Cab for Cutie, Amadou and Mariam, the Mars Volta, Tindersticks, Foals, Blondie, Crystal Castles, Elbow, Julian Cope, and British Sea Power heading up the pack.
This being one of those "multimedia experience" type scenarios-- or, if you will, "more than just a music festival", there's plenty of assorted goings-on at this year's Latitude. There are readings from the likes of Irvine Welsh and Peter Hook of New Order, comedians, poets, dance troupes, and lots more. In other words, you might not be jammin' the whole time at Latitude, but it seems pretty certain you're not gonna go bored.
